Screened Porch & Deck / Alpharetta

BEFORE – The existing tight deck area didn’t provide the outdoor living our homeowners really wanted. They also wanted to create an outdoor room addition that would provide fresh air, protection from the sun and keep insects out.

AFTER – Atlanta Decking designed and built a 16’ x 16’ screened porch addition with a tongue and groove cyprus ceiling. Pressure treated lumber replaced an old wood deck and was also used for the screened porch floor. Decking and floor fasteners were double-dipped galvanized deck screws. Custom fit individual screens and top transom windows are glass. The porch roof was attached to the existing home. A pediment style base wall incorporated copper pickets to match the deck rail. This style of wall allows for more light, protection, air flow and a better view of the yard. The ceiling is tongue and groove with a Cyprus finish.

The result? Very satisfied homeowners with generous areas to relax and entertain.
